MERONPAN BEAMU-!!
![]()
I’ve mentioned before on my blog that I don’t find Shakugan no Shana (both seasons) really that great, but what really makes Shana worth watching are the Shana-tan specials. The animation is high quality and premise is great, but I think the show has way too many characters that annoy me. orz
Don’t get me wrong, the show doesn’t suck, except maybe the first half of season 2. (What the hell was that? Shana no Yuutsu ?!) Anyways, I’ll let bygones be bygones because Fumina Konoe Strikes Back is the first of these Shana-tan specials for the second season and it sure doesn’t disappoint! 9 minutes of pure comedic gold, those people over at J.C.Staff are amazing! But enough chit-chat, bring on the delicious melonpan!!

I really enjoyed the Melonpan Beaaaaaaaaam. I was laughing so hard I think I was tearing.

When Konoe only passed back memories of food and birds to Hecate, Hecate’s “Mission Failed” expression was priceless.

In the actual show Yoshida is usually my least favourite character, but in the Shana-tan specials, my love for her goes though the roof. J.C.Staff always makes her kinda bipolar and just a freak in general. Like having her play twister over Misaki city? That was a riot.

I probably didn’t enjoy pimp Sabarac as much as some others did. Not sure why. Maybe cause Margery is also one of my least favourite characters (right behind Yoshida).

Naninaze Shana-tan was brilliant. Pure gold.

What better way to end off a Shana-tan episode than with an appropriately place melonpan dance~!
To celebrate the return of Shana-tan, DOZO have a starfish wallpaper!
Anyways, it was worth sitting through half a season of garbage, and needless to say, I’m definitely looking forward to the next installment of Shana-tan.
