Toshokan Sensou - 11: Puurr-leease, Don?t Be Stupid Next Time

You know what? I think Omisyth said everything for me.

I don’t want to bore myself typing this up, so I’ll just get straight to the point: this episode was boring. I found it lame, and yes, it did get better towards the end, but I just mostly found everything rather dull. I’m not exactly into military drama, but if you count in Full Metal Alchemist and Full Moe Metal Panic!, then perhaps I do. When Genda was getting shot by that half-dead dude, I thought he’d be smart enough to be wearing a bullet-proof vest beneath those garments of his, but correct me if I’m wrong if such a thing was never invented at that time, or if the bullets were so amazingly powerful that it pierced through. Let’s face it — I’m not exactly the brightest or smartest person when it comes down to serious business, because whenever it does I always end up ignoring it.

The wind blows. Er, someone forgot to close the door

No blood? What kind of fcuking war is this?!

This is all the blood you’re gonna give me?! Two T’s?!

Now, now, Iku, no time to doze off in lala land

A war over THIS piece of shit?! You’ve got to be kidding. It’s not even pretty.

The first half of this episode I watched with my older sister yapping about anime beside me, and she started cracking up real bad when I told her about this anime — that it was about protecting books and fighting against the media. I don’t blame her, though, she finds just about anything in anime hilarious. So as I mentioned earlier, the ending got a bit better but really, I was just waiting for the moment when Dojou could be dead. I don’t even know why I kept up with this series, but I suppose it was usagijen and biankita and issa-sa’s enthusiasm that kept me going. I sure hope Dojou dies, not that I despise him or anything, but heck, it’d make me appreciate this anime even more since someone really important dies and also because it’s not being typical. You know, most of the time when a character gets so badly wounded that you think they might die, but the animators leave it until the next episode to find out, and when the next episode comes the character miraculously survives. I suppose I might as well finish this series since there’s only one more episode, and it sucks since I’d never recommend this series to any of my friends. Overall, so far, Toshokan Sensou is pretty good and decent, and thank cheese that my sister was there to entertain me through the first part. Gosh, it was so boring.
